- Go on a self-guided walk or biking tour of the new access road through the site - no reservation needed.
PUBLIC SPACE ENVISIONING.
- Provide input and ideas for what makes a great urban public space.
- Inform the design elements of the 2-acre civic heart of the site.
Project team leaders and site users will share plans for 2018, and beyond.
Reserve your spot!
A Few Notes About Logistics: Event is rain or shine. Activities will be outdoors, so dress for the weather, however engagement activities will be under the big tent. The event will be held on the new, almost complete roadway on the site. There will be a drop-off area at the main entrance to the event - Gloster Street and Hazelwood Avenue. There will be no on-site parking, so please consider alternative modes and/or carpool - bus, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters (we will have bike racks available) - and look to street parking on Gloster and Tecumseh Streets. Finally, please use caution when crossing the railroad tracks at Hazelwood Avenue, despite its infrequency, it is an active rail line.
We should also note that activities on Friday are RSVP only. However, we are also hosting, in coordination with the Hazelwood Initiative, a Day 2 of activities on Saturday October 14th: Hazelwood Big Tent Event. This day will be a larger event open to the public and include information and updates on activities that are happening in Greater Hazelwood.
Please get in touch with the Almono team if you are an interested: organization, industry professional, or past/present/future partner, and would like to attend this event and have not received a code.
