Hazelwood Green Plaza Programming - Feedback “Drop-In” Hours at 61Z Cafe

  • 61Z Cafe 5017 Second Avenue Pittsburgh, PA, 15207 (map)

Join the Hazelwood Green Plaza programming consultant team in conversations about what programming you want to see in your neighborhood!

About the Community Gatherings

Street Plans, Prism Creative Group, and local art and community advisors Edith Abeyta and Renee Piechocki have been engaged by Almono to develop a programming/events plan for Hazelwood Green’s Plaza.

Join the team in Hazelwood to share your thoughts on the types and locations of programming that can take place at Hazelwood Green’s Plaza, and within the Hazelwood neighborhood. This trip will include discussions with community members and organizations about feedback that has already been shared (and what comes next!), solicitation of any new feedback, and will be the programming team’s (first) opportunity to get to know Hazelwood together!

From Sept. 21st - 24th, there will be three free, publicly open events that you can attend to meet the team, share your thoughts, and enjoy local food and beverage:

  • Monday, September 21st from 5:00-7:30pm: Meet & Greet in the La Gourmandine parking lot (Tipton St. & 2nd Ave.)

  • Tuesday, September 22nd from 4:00-6:30pm: Feedback “Drop-In” Hours inside 61Z Cafe

  • Wednesday, September 23rd from 5:00-7:30pm: Hazelwood Happy Hour at Mill 19’s South Porch (outdoors) *Note: You must be 21 years of age and have your ID to partake in the alcohol provided.

Mill 19's South Porch is located on Lytle St. two blocks north of Hazelwood Ave. and two blocks west of 2nd Ave. It is served by the 57 PAT bus. To get there from 2nd Ave. make a right on Lytle St. and it will be on your right side!

All events are free and open to the public. Please RSVP for the events you plan to attend, either via Eventbrite or Facebook.

Please wear a mask to attend all events. Hand sanitizer will also be provided.

If you are uncomfortable coming to an in-person gathering, but would still like to get in touch with the project team, email dana@streetplans.org or edithabeyta@gmail.com.

If you would like to attend an in-person event, but none work with your schedule, please contact us!

Hope to see you in the neighborhood!
