Riverfront Master Plan Community Collaboration: NEIGHBORHOOD POP-UP

Before looking forward to the future, we want to look back to the past. Stop by Hazelwood Initiative's parking lot to share your Mon River stories and memories of Hazelwood Works.

The Greater Hazelwood Historical Society and Pennsylvania Environmental Council are teaming up to record the stories and will take audio recordings with your permission. These oral histories will help to tell the story of Hazelwood's connection to the river even though reaching the river hasn’t always been easy.

This event is part of the larger Hazelwood Green Riverfront Master Plan Community Collaboration event taking place Oct. 15-17. Stop by the Pop-Up to learn more about the riverfront project, to share your ideas for the riverfront, and to register for other event activities.

All other event activities are being held at Mill 19 (4501 Lytle Street). Find the full event schedule at www.hazelwoodgreen.com/riverfront. As a COVID-19 safety precaution, masks are required to have your story recorded and attend Community Collaboration event activities.

Location: Hazelwood Initiative parking lot (4901 Second Ave)
